Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University is one of 17 universities which were inaugurated on May 17th, 2007.
Our university carries out its educational activities with 2 institutes, 7 faculties, 3 colleges, 7 vocational schools and 5 research centres. Moreover, our university continues to expand with the newly-builtRectorate Building, Indoor Sports Centre, Central Classrooms, Central Labs, Convention Centre and the outbuildings of Education Faculty within over 120 thousand square meters closed areas.
Our university is on the path to be one of the foremost universities of Turkey with its more than 12,000 students, physical and social facilities and large academic staff whose works are based on vigorous researches by the year 2013.Considering the importance of globalization in today’s world, our university attributes much importance on exchanging students and teachers with the universities on abroad and tries to improve the physical conditions in order to gain and sustain its success. The goal of Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University is to increase the number of agreement countries in each year. Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University has a ‘Diploma Supplement Label’ that enables international transparency and occupational and academic recognition. Though it is a new university, Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University has signed Erasmus agreements with 31 universities. Moreover, with the Mevlana Exchange Programme, our university enables reciprocal student and academic member exchange within 5 universities. Our university has bilateral agreements with 86 national universities by the Farabi Exchange Programme. Furthermore, there are Intensive Turkish Language Courses for the Erasmus students. We host the foreign students who come to learn Turkish and we have the aim of being an international university.
